Me neither.

I just looked it up. He was Adam! Not only one of the space hippies, but the star hippie (who tragically eats the apple).

"Nog discover in a guidebook to Earth that the leader of the Bell Riots
looks exactly like Captain Sisko, something Sisko himself feared would
come back to haunt him at the end of Past Tense”

Only DS9 would acknowledge earlier episodes in this way, this scene is something which really stood out to me.

Great review! (I think that may be the first time I've said that!) My boys and I had a good time watching this one recently. Being younger kids, (11 and 8), it was neat to see them watching it and realizing again that Trek can be funny, too!

LOL This was a great, funny episode which wonderfully used the incident at Roswell (it was at Corona, actually; the military base was in Roswell). What makes it even more fun and authentic is that the Ferengi (Quark, Rom, and Nog) resemble in number and appearance the alien beings reported by the witnesses in 1947. One of the best DS9 episodes, I think.

It's breezy, it's fun and it's entertaining. What more could you want!

When I first saw it I thought it too hysterical for words. I watched it again only recently, and I still openly laughed at loud a few times.

The fantasy/unreality of this mythical explanation of Roswell NM story reminded me more like being in a holosuite program than real 1940s−1950s America, and I think that was the point. Aka, the utter cheesiness of the Paris' program of "Captain Proton" in Voyager that reflects more on Flash Gordon.

The only other fun episodes I really like are some in Series 5, 6 and 7 ones, most featuring in the holosuites. Julian's spy program and Felix's Vic Fontaine have the same sort of feel as Little Green Men. (If only other television programs could be as entertaining without murdering people, or being as violent or just offensive, and they might win back far more viewers.) [<b>Star Trek : Holosuite</b> for the next ST series I'd say!]

★★★★☆

Note: One of the best of these 'period pieces', IMO, in all Trek was the fabulous "<i>Carbon Creek</i>" in ST Enterprise. If anything, it was the most plausible and realistic storyline, Carbon Creek was it in a nutshell.

"...the trigger-happy captain giving full rein to his xenophobia..."

In fairness, I think that part probably was supposed to be the US as it was in the 1940s.

Bang on review.

This was such a good episode! One of the rare Ferengi episodes that was brilliant (and actually funny) rather than embarrassingly terrible.
