If she did, she might have figured that this was DS9's biggest continuity problem. For me, I think Julian's biggest worry about winning the award was that it would have marked the pinnacle of his medical career. And at such a young age, any contributions he would make from that point on may not get as much recognition, as things can only go downhill from winning Starfleet's most prestigious award. And I indeed say continuity issues since there were really no episodes (including this one) that gave any indication Bashir was harboring such a secret. Particularly, in season 1, he was always so boastful about himself, he came off as annoying to Kira and O'Brien, exactly the opposite of what an illegally-enhanced person is supposed to be doing. Re playing darts: Notice when he made the bullseye, his reaction was more surprised than non-chalant, the latter more likely by an enhanced person. It'll be interesting to see the reviewer's critique of the upcoming "Distance Voices", an episode that's set almost entirely in Bashir's mind, yet the issue never came up even once.
