McFadden To Star in New Trilogy Of Plays

1 min read

Star Trek: The Next Generation‘s Gates McFadden will be the headliner for the readings of three new plays at the Getty Villa in Los Angeles.

The three plays are the Vesuvius Prophesies: Deus Ex Machina, Clytemnestra and The Rosy Fingers of Dawn, written by Tom Jacobson and directed by Michael Michetti.

In The Vesuvius Prophesies, “One smoldering volcano, two bickering families, three ingenious plays, and a span of nearly two thousand years: … are all elements of Tom Jacobson’s new dramatic trilogy. As the stories unfold, past meets present in a mysterious Roman villa overlooking the ancient city of Pompeii.”

In Deus Ex Machina, “A team of contemporary archaeologists fulfill an ancient Roman prophecy that ends the world.”

Clytemnesta is “Electra told from Clytemnestra’s point of view; an irreverent revision.”

The Rosy Fingers of Dawn is the story of “a wealthy Roman family stag[ing] a fake Greek play in Pompeii in A.D. 79.”

The plays (free of charge although there is a charge for parking) will take place at the Auditorium at the Getty Villa in Los Angeles on Saturday, November 3 and Sunday November 4. For more information on times, and to obtain tickets, head to the link located here.
