Two members of the Westmore family, including Oscar and Emmy-award winning makeup artist Mike Westmore (Star Trek: The Next Generation through Enterprise) and his daughter McKenzie, talk about McKenzie’s current project, Face Off.
McKenzie Westmore is the host of Face Off, a competition/elimination series that “explor[es] the world of special-effects make-up artists.” Challengers compete against one another in the hopes of surviving each week to win the ultimate prize, “the opportunity to become a guest lecturer at the Make Up For Ever Academy in New York and Paris, the 2012 Toyota Camry hybrid, and $100,000.”

In Inescapable, Siddig portrays a father who “takes matters into his own hands when his daughter goes missing in Syria.”

Emmy Award-winning actor William Windom, best-known to Trek fans for his role of Commodore Decker in the original series episode The Doomsday Machine, has died at his home in Woodacre, California at the age of eighty-eight.
The cause of death was congestive heart failure.

Four IDW Publishing comics will be released this November which feature Tribbles, the Archons, the Mirror Universe, the Borg, and Doctor Who.
The comics include Star Trek Volume 3, Star Trek #15, Star Trek: The Next Generation: The Hive #3 and Star Trek: The Next Generation/Doctor Who: Assimilation2 #7.

Roddenberry Entertainment has partnered with Nerdist Industries to launch a new free Star Trek podcast series.
The new series is Mission Log, which is “an entertaining and provocative examination of the legendary franchise’s more than seven hundred hours of television programming.”

A Star Trek fan is on a mission to restore one of the original sets from Star Trek: The Next Generation.
Rescued from Paramount in late 2011, the fan is in the process of restoring the set and plans to make it open to the public when finished.

A new Priceline ad reveals that the Priceline Negotiator is still sharing those Priceline deals.
Played by William Shatner, the last time viewers saw the Priceline Negotiator, he was in a bus that plunged off of a bridge and was destroyed in a fiery explosion. But as a new ad reveals, the Priceline Negotiator is alive and well and has found a new hobby.

Gene Roddenberry‘s classic series The Lieutenant will be released tomorrow.
The show, consisting of twenty-nine episodes filmed in 1963 and 1964, has been restored and will be “accompanied by an unseen theatrical iteration of the show.”

For fans eagerly awaiting the forthcoming Star Trek video game, Paramount Pictures and Namco Bandai have released a new trailer and screenshots from the game.
Star Trek features a story written by Marianne Krawczyk in collaboration with Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman in which “players control both Kirk and Spock in a sweeping journey of epic proportions across unexplored planets and enemy battleships with the latest 23rd century weapons and gear.”

La-La Land Records will release Star Trek: The Original Series Soundtrack Collection as a limited-edition boxed set collection.

Star Trek author Thomas Eugene DeWeese passed away in March at the age of seventy-eight.
DeWeese was the author of half a dozen original series and Star Trek: The Next Generation novels, which he authored under the name Gene DeWeese.
