Krige Joins Thor

1 min read

Alice Krige, best-known to Star Trek fans as the Borg Queen introduced in Star Trek: First Contact, has joined Thor: The Dark World.

Thor: The Dark World follows the God of Thunder to The Nine Realms beyond Asgard and earth. And as his evil half-brother, Loki, returns for Asgardian justice, a new threat rises. Also rejoining Thor are his fellow Asgardians, Lady Sif, gatekeeper Heimdall and Warriors Three, as they encounter mythical Norse creatures among evildoers.”

Krige told fans at this year’s Star Trek: Las Vegas convention, which was held from Aug 9-12, that she has a small role in the film.

Fans may not recognize Krige, she told them, which may mean that she will be made up and/or have prosthetics. Speculation is that she may play Alflyse, the queen of the Dark Elves.

Thor: The Dark World will begin filming this month, with a release scheduled for November 8, 2013. Another Star Trek alum, Chris Hemsworth (George Kirk) will also be in the movie.

  1. She’s always had this freaky, creepy hotness. For instance, in ‘Ghost Story’. A beautiful face and body, with those absolutely evil shark eyes. Always a delightful choice for a villainness.

  2. Way to play down Chris Hemsworth’s role in a movie where he is the title character. “Another Star Trek alum, Chris Hemsworth (George Kirk) will also be in the movie.” Priceless.
