Effective.

That could mean anything.

Such as about as effective as an artist peeing into a bottle and calling it performance art. Or as effective as the Emperor's clothing. Artists of a different day considered allowing lens flare amateur, careless work; taking people out of the film by introducing evidence of production lights where the fiction does not support or admit to them. This apparent disagreement by different artists shows just how meaningless artistic opinion really is when right or wrong is completely a matter of who's talking. Personally, it's not really a big deal to me except when it becomes a fetish, like Ben Burtt's Wilhelm scream. It's great fun sometimes, but not when done to excess.

It's tough to afford theater prices at all. I limit myself to one, or at most two, theatrical trips a year. DVD prices are much more worthwhile. But not to worry, they wouldn't limit their revenue channels in any such way. The movie will be available in normal theaters.

“They are big cameras,” said Pine of the IMAX cameras. “They are big, loud cameras.”

That must be a distraction. Like the RED Epic cameras that are so hyped, but need extra set and makeup saturation to compensate for as-designed flat recording, I'm not impressed when the latest thing makes for extra work. New technology should makes things easier - not harder.
