1 min read

Later this month, William Shatner will be a guest host for the Have I Got News For You comedy quiz show.

Have I Got News For You is a comedy quiz show that “grills celebrity contestants on the week’s top stories and news.”

Shatner will appear with team captains Ian Hislop and Paul Merton, and guest panelists Andy Hamilton and Charlie Brooker.

The show will air Friday, May 25, at 9 PM on BBC One. This is Shatner’s first time as show host.

Thanks to David A. McIntee for the tip!

  1. OH MY GOD, that will be amazing! Merton and Hislop will give him such a hard time, BUT the Shat is more than up to the challenge. HIGNFY has been a top rated show here in the UK for 15 years, British institution. To see him on there will be fantastic!

  2. I think it’s over 20 years now. Heck, it’s 10 years since they got rid of Deayton…

For those of you who are not familiar with HIGNFY, since the original presenter got dumped 10 years ago after a cocaine and prostitutes scandal, they’ve had a “guest host” every episode – some people come back several times over the years, others just do it the once.

Mark, a BoJo-esque ep you think?

  3. Bliss to be alive! He will be perfect! I am a great fan of Have I Got News For You, have been for years. Can’t hardly wait.

I can just imagine Paul Merton going for him and Ian Hislop being terrifically diffident and public school about it and then screwering him in a different angle, probably because he just is really Captain Kirk. Kinda like saying, “This guy actually used to be an actor, have you see Judgement at Nuremberg?”
