Comic Review – Star Trek #5

Star Trek #5 will release tomorrow, but fans can see a preview of the issue today.

IDW Publishing describes the issues as follows: “The voyages of the new crew of the Enterprise continue in this re-imagining of the classic episode Operation: Annihilate! Captain Kirk comes face to face with the ghosts of his past when a rescue mission reunites him with the last person he expects to see: his brother.

Written by Mike Johnson, Star Trek #5 is thirty-two pages in length and features art by Joe Corroney and cover art by Tim Bradstreet. The issue will sell for $3.99.

Star Trek #6 will continue the Operation: Annihilate story.

  1. Holy crap! They’re actually taking the differences in JJhistory into account to show a very different spin on the episode! I was wondering if they’d get around to that someday.

  2. Yeah, I’ve really been enjoying these! The art’s amazing and the stories have been quite good. Sometimes just subtle, small changes from the originals, but enough different to keep it new and fresh!
