  1. I cant stop reading and re-reading it over and over…

In Arachnoquake, “massive earthquakes unleash giant albino spiders. Freed from their ancient subterranean prison, the spiders go on a murderous rampage through New Orleans.”

Its like driving by a car wreck… you know you don’t want to see it but you just can’t help but slow down and gawk…. Just reading that sentence has profoundly altered my entire day… I feel violated…

  2. Sad thing about acting in a major role in a Star Trek series: your Hollywood career is destroyed and forever limited to small roles in science-fiction… Two notable exceptions: Patrick Stewart and William Shatner… Perhaps Walter Koenig and Michelle Forbes could be added…

Roy will be wearing a red shirt, and he’ll be the 6th person to be dismembered and eaten alive by the spider… Since he’s so annoying the crowd will cheer… Spiders 1, Neelix 0…

  3. Kate Mulgrew has kept busy on stage and television, as has Robert Picardo… same for Rene Auberjonuis and Leonard Nimoy with acting, directing, and other pursuits…

  4. I would challenge that most of these people had Hollywood careers.

By that I mean most people who star in Star Trek are relatively unknown… character actors and the like.

While a few break through into the mainstream, most sort of continue the level of career that they had.

  5. Oh, true enough for Picardo – although he’s still doing mostly sci-fi on TV – SG-Atlantis -… Auberjonois indeed had a great – but secondary role – in Boston Legal – which had several cameos by Star Trek stars (Armin Shimerman, Jeri Ryan, Natalia Nogulich, even the infamous (!) Ethan Philips…) and its fare share of tongue-in-cheek Star Trek innuendos… And of course Heroes had the same and included George Takei and Nichelle Nichols on several episodes… But since Star Trek has so much exposure, I would still have expected to see their career soar – and that’s a pretty rare thing with former Star Trek cast… Perhaps it’s because they all get behind the camera now for the most part (Frakes, Dawson, Burton, McNeil…)

  6. That’s just about the most blatantly exploitative plot with the greatest number of C-list actors I’ve ever seen gathered in one place. SyFy ought to be ashamed.

  7. this comment made me lose my juice in a spit take… This plot is not exploitative… its appallingly awful and pathetic… a preschooler would be dismissive of this idea… WHAT WRITE COULD COME UP WITH THIS GARBAGE AND WHAT MORONS AT ‘SYFY’ SAID THAT THEY WANT TO SPEND THE MONEY TO MAKE IT?!?!?! Really, I guess Eureka was far too good for you syfy…

  8. and I dont think the folks at ‘syfy’ have one ounce of shame… if they did it would be “Sci-Fi” and not ‘syfy’… Im surprised the spiders dont channel the spirits of ancient WWE wresters who time travel to the future of appease the vampire-spider queen… :-/
