Meaney: Hell On Wheels

Fans of Star Trek The Next Generation and Deep Space Nine‘s Colm Meaney will be able to see him in a new AMC period piece due to debut this weekend.

In Hell On Wheels, Meaney will play the scheming railroad baron Thomas “Doc” Durant.


The Be A Redshirt Contest

IDW and the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund (CBLDF) have announced a Star Trek “Be a Redshirt” contest.

Usually, “being a redshirt” on the original series was apt to be hazardous, and while the same will hold true for the redshirt in this contest, there is a prize that makes it worth the inevitable phaser blast.


Star Trek XI To Be Honored With S.E.T. Award

Star Trek XI joins ten other movies and television shows to be honored at the S.E.T. Awards next month.

The films and shows included amongst the honorees include: Avatar, Extraordinary Measures, Star Trek XI, Iron Man 2, Social Network, Drop Dead Diva, Simpsons, Bones, Burn Notice, CSI: Miami, and Law & Order: SVU.
