While I am as excited as the next person for the continuation of Star Trek... I will admit that I have grown slightly bitter towards the new fans XI brought on... previous to XI, Star Trek was still an obscure though, a geeky fandom, cult classic-- you also truly knew that when you met a fellow Trekkie that they were a Trekkie for the right reason... not because they think Chris Pine is the hottest thing since peppers.

It makes me nervous to see "new" Trek-goers, because I know that most likely the majority of their interest to Trek is based off of XI.

So... when children read "I absolutely cannot f****** wait..." they don't know what it means? Even writing "I absolutely cannot (explicative deleted) wait..." they don't know what it means? I'm all for decency in journalism but a healthy conversation about language with ones child is far better than pretending "F*** words" don't exist. They need to clearly understand what the power of language is.. not to be shielded from languages existence. It's thinking like this that is now censoring Mark Twain books. Sad sad sad.

Kirk often had to report into superior commanders in TOS, and Greenwood as Pike was a brilliant touch if you ask me (both the return of Pike, and Greenwood's performance) so I am all for more Pike. But please fix the engine room.
