According to a source “close to the production” which spoke with Screenrant, Paramount executives plan on opening their wallets when it comes to Star Trek XII, beginning with pre-production.
The studio is said to have “really liked” the pitch for the sequel and it didn’t hurt that Star Trek XI grossed over $385 million worldwide, so the studio is willing to take the chance on another successful film.
In spite of his Hollywood success, William Shatner still feels an actor’s insecurity when it comes to his career.
Shatner reminisced about his time on two shows for which he is best-known by science fiction fans, Star Trek and Twilight Zone. Even though both shows suffered from a lack of special effects due to the time when they were made, both were able to transcend those oft-times cheesy special effects and to impact their viewers with quality stories.
Fans of the Mondo Star Trek posters will be pleased to hear that a new one, based on one of the favorite episodes of the original series, will be released tomorrow .
