Fringe Renewed

1 min read

In spite of recent low ratings, Fringe has been picked up for a fourth season.

Created by J.J. Abrams, Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, the sci-fi show, on which Leonard Nimoy has guest-starred, received an order for a full season.

“Thank you, Fringe fans, for earning us a fourth season,” said Roberto Orci, courtesy of his Twitter feed. “You rock!”

Fringe was picked up,” said J.H. Wyman, an executive producer on the show. “Thanks Fringedom!’

Ratings on Fringe have dropped recently, partly due to the change to daylight savings time, and also due to the college basketball championship series being aired on another network. But the show has received critical praise and Fox claims that Fringe is the No. 1 show on Friday nights this season.

Leonard Nimoy will be reprising his role of William Bell in the series finale, which airs in early May.
