Infestation #1, the first issue of the Infestation series which will include the worlds of Star Trek, Ghostbusters, Transformers and G.I. Joe, has proven what many science fiction fans already knew, that zombies are popular.
IDW Publishing will be releasing a second printing of the debut comic, which was written by Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning and illustrated by David Messina.
“The response to Infestation has completely exceeded our expectations,” said Chris Ryall, IDW Chief Creative Officer and Editor in Chief. “This project has been in the works for years and it’s very regarding for all of us at IDW to see it getting such a positive response.”
Infestation #1 begins in IDW’s Zombies vs. Robots universe, where “something goes horribly wrong and ultimately infests the other four sci-fi worlds, including Star Trek.
Star Trek: Infestation #1 and #2 will ship in February. The thirty-two page issues will sell for $3.99 each and will be written by Scott and David Tipton and illustrated by Gary Erskine and Casey Maloney.
The finale to the multi-sci-fi-worlds invasion, Infestation #2, will be released in April.
