Star Trek fans will be able to design, sell and buy authorized merchandise relating to their favorite Star Trek shows.
According to the press release, fans can “boldly go where no one has gone before” to design custom apparel and gifts, after following official guidelines, and having their designs approved.
“Right from its debut in 1966, Star Trek captured the imagination of science fiction fans, who sought to connect with the iconic franchise,” said CafePress Vice President of Marketing Amy Maniatis. “Our agreement with CBS Consumer Products allows Trekkers to express their passion in a new way. The Star Trek fan community now has the opportunity to create and share merchandise that is fun, personalized and often inspiring.”
Some products are already available, including “Live Long and Prosper” t-shirts, “Beam me up, Scotty” coffee mugs and “Most illogical” bumper stickers.
