The Fourth Annual Constellation Awards ceremony was held several days ago with Star Trek XI winning three awards.
Nominated for five awards in four categories, awards went to the movie, to Bruce Greenwood and to Karl Urban. Zoë Saldana won an award for her work in Avatar.

Although character actor Bruce Greenwood (Captain Christopher Pike) has plenty of acting work, he would not be averse to returning to the Star Trek world.
Pike could return, according to Greenwood, and since Star Trek XII is in an alternate reality, anything can happen to the character, who is not bound by “canon Trek.” “Oh, I’ll be there in a second, in a hot second,” he said. “I know they’re writing the script and I encourage them whenever I see them to make Pike a critical element.”

Virgin Galactic’s VSS Enterprise, named after Star Trek‘s USS Enterprise, successfully reached the stratosphere in a test flight.
The VSS Enterprise is carried by a mothership, the WhiteKnightTwo (VMS Eve) and on this test flight, remained attached to the VMS Eve.

Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan may be almost thirty years old, but memorabilia from the movie still commands a high price.
Captain Kirk’s Star Trek uniform from Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, sold several days ago at the Heritage Auction Galleries auction, ended up bringing in the second-highest price of the auction.

Star Trek fans attending the sold-out Comic-Con in San Diego beginning this Thursday will have plenty of Trek-related activity to keep them busy.
Writers and producers, actors, directors and authors involved in some way with the Star Trek franchise will be making appearances at the San Diego Comic-Con 2010 in a variety of panels.

September will see the release of two new Star Trek comics, and in October, fans of Khan will see a new series based on Khan’s time on Ceti Alpha V.
The comics for September are Star Trek: Captain’s Log: Pike #1 and Star Trek: Burden of Knowledge #4. The new Khan comic will be called Khan: Ruling in Hell.

If all goes well, Simon Pegg will reprise his character Benji Dunn, last seen in Mission: Impossible III.
Pegg is in talks for the Mission: Impossible sequel, which will be directed by Brad Bird and star Tom Cruise as agent Ethan Hunt.

Clifton Collins Jr., best-known to Star Trek fans as Ayel the Romulan in Star Trek XI, will be appearing in The Event, a new NBC drama series that will debut this fall.
Collins will play Thomas, who is a “key player in the show’s secret conspiracy who will come into contact with the President of the United States (played by Blair Underwood).

In a conference call with CBS Consumer Products, more information was given concerning today’s relaunch of StarTrek.com and plans for its future.
StarTrek.com wants fan to help shape StarTrek.com, as the site evolves over time. Released in beta, the website is expected to change in the near future, with plenty of updates and new content.
