Zachary Quinto will appear in the September revival of Tony Kushner‘s Pulitzer Prize-winning play Angels in America.
Angels in America is the story of two troubled couples, one gay and one straight, in New York City who try to deal with illness, homosexuality and relationship issues.
Quinto will play Louis Ironson, the boyfriend of a man with AIDS, Prior Walter. Ironson leaves Walter because he cannot deal with the changes that AIDS brings to the relationship. Walter has not yet been cast; Christian Borle (Legally Blonde) is in talks for the role.
The two-part Angels in America, directed by Michael Greif, will be seen at the Off Broadway Signature Theater Company and will run from September 14 through December 19.
