In April, TrekToday reported that Brannon Braga would be a part of Steven Spielberg‘s prehistoric dinosaur drama, Terra Nova. More details on Terra Nova and casting news have emerged.
Jason O’Mara (Life of Mars, U.S. version) is in talks to play the lead in Terra Nova.

The 2010 MTV Movie Awards were held last night and while it was a bad night for Star Trek fans, fans of Twilight were happy with the five awards that came its way.
Both Chris Pine and Zoë Saldana lost in their categories, Saldana losing both times to actors from The Twilight Saga: New Moon.

Angels in America is the story of two troubled couples, one gay and one straight, in New York City who try to deal with illness, homosexuality and relationship issues.

Earlier this year it was announced that Patrick Stewart was on this year’s list to receive a knighthood, and the ceremony making him Sir happened today at Buckingham Palace.
Stewart, knighted for his services to drama, gave credit to an English teacher, Cecil Dormand, who encouraged Stewart to act. “Although many people in my life have had great influence on me, without this man none of it would have happened,” he said.

Simon Pegg‘s habit of hiding a special piece of jewelry kept it safe when a thief hit a penthouse greenroom used by Pegg and actress Kirsten Dunst during filming of How To Lose Friends and Alienate People in 2007.
Pegg testified today, for the second time, against a man accused of burglarizing the room and taking Pegg’s iPod and camera and Dunst’s handbag with $2000 in cash it in. The first trial ended with a deadlocked jury.

Battlestar Galactica benefitted from some of the trials and tribulations that Ron Moore faced while working on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.
When it came to Deep Space Nine, Moore discovered that he liked the serialized nature of the show, particular as it got into the later seasons. “I think a lot of Battlestar was born at Deep Space Nine in that Deep Space started as much more episodic because of the nature of the show, it became more a continuing serialized structure,” said Moore. “I really liked that, and I discovered I really liked that style of storytelling.”

Even though she turns thirty-two this month, Zoë Saldana doesn’t plan on slacking when it comes to keeping in shape.
For most people, the thirties mean accepting changes in the body and mind. “I’m very accepting of my age,” said Saldana. “I like it. The thirties are great. It’s like notches on your belt: experience, wisdom, and a different kind of beauty. I have become comfortable in my skin.”
