The teaser for Super 8, the J.J. Abrams-Steven Spielberg movie project, is now available online.
Super 8 will be released next summer, but the promotion for the movie has already begun with the release of a teaser trailer last weekend that was shown in theaters before Iron Man 2.

Zoë Saldana has not only made Maxim’s Top 100 Women for 2010 list, but she is listed amongst the top five.
Saldana comes in at #3 on the list, behind #2 Brooklyn Decker, and #1 Katy Perry.

William Shatner denied that he has made over six hundred million dollars from his work on Priceline.
Recently, reports on the Internet have claimed that the Priceline pitchman made the decision to take Priceline shares as part of his payment when he was hired in 1997 to promote the travel site, and that that decision paid off handsomely.

Fox is trying to sign Pine for the starring role in the buddy spy comedy, This Means War.

Playing a Romulan had Clifton Collins Jr. looking into the deepest, darkest part of himself.
Although he was not a Trekkie, Collins was aware of Star Trek, especially Leonard Nimoy. “I’ve got to say to you that I am not a Trekkie,” he said. “I think we all grew up watching Star Trek, whether you are a Trekkie or not. Not to mention, just the sound of Leonard Nimoy’s voice; it is something just so familiar to us growing up, in those earlier years of your childhood. There is something very comforting about it.”

In the fifth season of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Alexander Siddig, after having had his own mental idea of who his character was, had to readjust his thinking about Dr. Julian Bashir.
Siddig was not pleased when he saw the script for Dr. Bashir, I Presume and made that displeasure known as best he could after the first shock wore off.

Some details about a preview of Super 8, to be directed by J.J. Abrams and shown this weekend before Iron Man 2 at theaters, have emerged.
Abrams is working on Super 8 with Stephen Spielberg, who will produce the film which has a forty-five million dollar budget and will be released next summer.

Leonard Nimoy may have retired to pursue his hobbies, but his friend and former co-star Shatner is as busy as a man half his age. Shatner’s latest project is a show about how ordinary people change after they’ve been thrust unexpectedly into national headlines.

According to a press release from CBS Consumer Products, Star Trek.com is looking to become a “one-stop entertainment and news destination for all things Star Trek.”

For those who delayed buying some of the Star Trek movies on Blu-ray or the Remastered original series season sets, two sales from Best Buy and Amazon.com may be of interest.
Best Buy has five Trek movies on sale, all in the Blu-ray format. Included are Star Trek XI (3 disk version), Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home, Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country and Star Trek: First Contact.

According to New York Magazine’s Vulture blog, J.J. Abrams is now finishing a script on a film that is a tribute to as well as a collaboration with Stephen Spielberg.
The script is described as “a tip of the hat to [Spielberg's] movies of the 70′s and early 80′s,” and Abrams supposedly will “roll up his sleeves and direct the script himself” for Paramount this fall.

Star Trek Remastered Producer Dave Rossi spoke about Final Frontier, an animated five-part Star Trek series project intended for the web, that never came to fruition.
If all had gone well, fans would have seen new Star Trek, animated and set in 2528, from the comfort of their homes.
