Artist Devorah Sperber has created another Star Trek sculpture made out of spools, chenille stems and semi-translucent beads.
In the lobby of the Microsoft Studio D office in Redmond, Washington is a unique sculpture, which appears to show the crew of the original series materializing before their eyes.

When it comes to continuing an acting career as one ages, deciding when to stay or when to go should be done logically and not emotionally, according to William Shatner.
Shatner has had a long and successful career, but knowing when to end it and move on with the rest of his life is not something that is easy for an actor to do. “…it’s a game for the young and the beautiful,” he said of the acting profession.

Star Trek Live, a stage show in which audience members can participate, will be traveling around the country after it makes its debut at Kennedy Space Center on May 31.
As reported at TrekToday last month, Star Trek Live “melds special effects, space technology and audience interaction in a half-hour production from CBS Consumer Products and Mad Science Productions.”

IDW Publishing has posted the details and covers of three Star Trek comics that are due out this August.
The comics are: Star Trek Movie Adaptation #6, Star Trek: Burden of Knowledge #3, and the Star Trek Omnibus: The Original Series.

Star Trek fans visiting Madame Tussaud’s will now be able to see the wax figures of two Star Trek captains.
According to TrekMovie, the Picard figure, formerly in the Las Vegas Madame Tussaud’s, has been moved from there to the Hollywood location and placed in the same display as the Captain James T. Kirk wax figure.

In the video, the pair, whose characters married in Star Trek: Nemesis, talk about their Star Trek days as well as what they would do if they could make their own half-hour sitcom.

Strange New World, the third Gene Roddenberry-inspired 1970s TV pilot attempt following Genesis II and Planet Earth, is now available on DVD for the first time.
In 1975, Strange New World, a post-apocalypse story made without Roddenberry’s participation but based on his idea and characters (including John Saxon of Planet Earth), was made, but like Genesis II and Planet Earth, Strange New World was not picked up as a regular series.

Chris Pine will be starring in the Center Theatre Group’s The Lieutenant of Inishmore.
Pine will join Ian Alda, Andrew Connolly, Coby Getzug, Seán G. Griffin, Kevin Kearns, Zoe Perry and Brett Ryback in the Martin McDonagh play, which will be directed by Wilson Milam.

Leonard Nimoy‘s acting days may be at an end, but his voice will be heard in Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep, due out this fall.
Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep releases in the U.S. on September 7 and will bring to live unexplored worlds from everyone’s favorite Disney stories via the PSP.

Anthony Montgomery, best-known to Star Trek: Enterprise fans for his role of Ensign Travis Mayweather in that series, will soon be seen in Single Ladies, a new Queen Latifah-produced made-for-television movie.
Montgomery will be playing Darryl Jenkins, a successful businessman and a loving husband who adores his wife and fights to make their marriage work.
