Shatner To Host 37th Annie Awards

William Shatner will be the host of the 37th Annie Awards, given each year by the ASIFA-Hollywood branch of the International Animated Film Association for the best work in animation. Plus: Shatner and “So Act”.

ASIFA-Hollywood is honored to have William Shatner host this year’s Annie Awards,” said ASIFA-Hollywood President Antran Manoogian. “We are looking forward to Mr. Shatner’s unique and commanding presence presiding over the show.”

ShatnerStockThis year’s award ceremony will be held on February 6 at UCLA’s Royce Hall in Los Angeles at 7 PM, followed by a post award party at 10 P.M. General Admission tickets can be purchased for $25.00 for those wishing to attend.

In other Shatner news, Shatner will be participating in the “So Act” Celebrity and Expert Endorsement Program. So Act’s technologies “provide a global social network where its members are able to build ‘Communities of Purpose’, and accomplish and promote all of their important goals without being subjected to spam or ads, and without having personal information used by marketers.”

“In the midst of all the gloom, here is a ray of hope,” said Shatner. “It’s called So Act.”
