No Love For Trek At Critics’ Choice Awards
1 min readStar Trek XI was shut out in each of the five categories for which it was nominated in the Critics’ Choice Awards, which aired this evening.
Trek was nominated for Best Action Movie, Best Acting Ensemble, Best Sound, Best Visual Effects and Best Makeup.
Winners in each category were:
- Best Action Movie: Avatar
- Best Acting Ensemble: Inglourious Basterds
- Best Sound: Avatar
- Best Visual Effects: Avatar
- Best Makeup: District 9
Ah well, there’s always Oscar, although in the last ten years, eighty percent of the Best Picture winners from the Critic’s Choice Awards went on to win an Oscar. If this is the case, Star Trek XI will find no love there either.
