Abrams: No Decision Yet

1 min read

Although Star Trek XI now has a release date, J.J. Abrams hasn’t decided yet about directing the sequel to his first Star Trek movie.

Abrams was asked if he was closer to making a decision about directing Star Trek XII. “No,” he said. “We don’t have a script yet or anything, but we have a release date (June 29, 2012). There’s a release date, but we’re still working on the script. The idea is that they have faith in this team.”

Asked what he thought about Star Trek XI going up against Spider-Man in the summer of 2012, Abrams said, “I’d be psyched to see what that is. I know they’re talking about a reboot of Spider-Man, so that will be interesting. I would think that there’s room for all of us.”
