Rod Roddenberry Launches Oceans Fundraiser

Eugene “Rod” Roddenberry, son of Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry, has announced the $100,000 Challenge for the Oceans” campaign.

The $100,000 Challenge for the Oceans is a holiday fundraiser for the San Diego Oceans Foundation, in which residents can donate and have their donations matched by Roddenberry.


Shatner: Reaching That Raw Nerve

The second season of Shatner’s Raw Nerve airs this Sunday and William Shatner took time to talk about his experiences in getting guests to appear on the interview show as well as his strategy for getting them to open up to him.

While some celebrities are happy to appear on Shatner’s Raw Nerve, others brush off Shatner without saying “no” directly. “I’m well-acquainted with all the guises,” said Shatner. “‘I’d love to come on when my schedule allows,’ that kind of thing. They put you off and never quite say no.”


Star Trek: Online – Questions Answered

With the release of Star Trek: Online just two months away, those involved with the creation of the MMORPG have been answering questions on websites around the world.

In the latest interview, producer Daniel Stahl explained how various elements of the game would work. Questions were asked about starship vs. planetary gameplay, story elements, fleet battles, social gaming and working with other captains.
