Shatner Oklahoma Charity Performance

1 min read

William Shatner will perform on horseback to raise funds for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Oklahoma.

On December 4th, Shatner will perform at the Oklahoma State Fair Arena beginning at 6 P.M. He will ride a reining horse at the 4R Performance Horses Celebrity Slide, commanding the “lightning quick moves” of the horse while guiding it through a reining pattern and its precise maneuvers.

Also participating will be singer/songwriter Lyle Lovett and TLC’s Trading Spaces star Christi Proctor as well as local Oklahoma celebrities.

This is not Shatner’s first charity event. For almost twenty years, he has hosted the Hollywood Charity Horse Show at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center. The event, held in the spring, benefits AHEAD With Horses (a charity that gives physically and mentally challenged children the experience of riding a horse to boost their confidence and self-esteem) as well as other Los Angeles-based charities.
