New Star Trek XI Comic In The Works

1 min read

A comic book adaptation of Star Trek XI is in the works, according to IDW.

As reported by TrekMovie.com, the six issue Star Trek XI comic series will include scenes cut from the final version of Star Trek XI. Following Star Trek: Countdown, a four-issue prequel series to Star Trek XI, and after the recently announced Nero series, due out in August, which will cover Nero’s “lost years” during Star Trek XI, the Star Trek XI movie adaptation comic book will hit store shelves in January 2010.

Roberto Orci, Alex Kurtzman and J.J. Abrams will oversee the comic series, which will be scripted by Mike Johnson and Tim Jones, with art by David Messina.

Speaking of Johnson and Jones, they will be attending next week’s Comic Con and doing live signings from ten to eleven AM on Saturday, July 25. A limited amount of a special edition of Countdown #1 will be offered for sale, featuring a new cover and signed by Johnson and Jones. In addition to Countdown #1, a preview of the Nero series will also be available at Comic Con.
