Star Trek: Online – In Which Timeline?
1 min readWith the release of Star Trek XI, the world of Star Trek now has two separate timelines, which meant that Star Trek: Online had to decide into which timeline to set their own game.
As reported by Star Trek: Online, Nero’s actions put the Star Trek adventures on an alternate timeline, but Star Trek: Online‘s game won’t be following suit. “Star Trek: Online is set in the ‘prime’ Star Trek reality,” said a post at the site. “This is the timeline of the five television series and the first 10 movies. It is the world in which the Gorn attacked Cestus III, Kirk fought Khan in the Mutara Nebula, Picard explored the galaxy, the Federation fought the Dominion War, Voyager was stranded in the Delta Quadrant and Captain Archer and the crew of the NX-01 showed us how it all began.”
Events in Star Trek XI have affected Star Trek: Online, but only the effects in the prime timeline will be the focus of Star Trek: Online, such as the destruction of Romulus and the disappearance of both Nero and Spock Prime.
