Nimoy Receives Saturn Award

Star Trek‘s Leonard Nimoy received a special award last night at the 35th Annual Saturn Awards.

As reported by The Academy of Science Fiction Fantasy & Horror, Nimoy was given the Lifetime Achievement Award for his work in film and television over the past five decades. The award was presented to Nimoy by Star Trek XI Director J.J. Abrams.The Dark Knight was the star movie of the night, winning five Saturn Awards, including awards for: Best Action/Adventure/Thriller Film, Best Writing, Best Supporting Actor (Heath Ledger,) Best Music and Best Special Effects.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and Iron Man both won three Saturn Awards.

Star Trek XI will be eligible for nomination for Saturn Awards next year.
