Star Trek: The Exhibition To Head East

Tickets go on sale tomorrow for the East Coast debut of Star Trek: The Exhibition.

As reported by PR Newswire, Star Trek: The Exhibition is headed to Philadelphia, and will open on Saturday, May 16.

The Franklin Institute in Philadelphia will be hosting Star Trek: The Exhibition, which will run from May 16-September 20. “Star Trek is undoubtedly one of science fiction’s most celebrated creations,” said Dr. Dennis Wint, president and CEO of The Franklin. “We are thrilled to have the opportunity to showcase the imagination, artistry and craftsmanship of the franchise here at The Franklin.”

Highlights of The Exhibition include: Bridge of the Starship Enterprise D; Sickbay; Engineering (The Next Generation versions;) Infinite Diversity Gallery, where visitors can examine the award-winning design and craftsmanship in some of Star Trek‘s most amazing alien creatures including: Klingons, Cardassians, Shapeshifters and the Borg; The History of the Future Gallery, where a timeline of Star Trek, from the original series through the latest film are charted, and the Simulator Experience, where fans can ride in a Federation shuttlecraft that is honing in on the Borg.

In addition, there are various props, including communicators, tricorders, medical equipment, Geordi La Forge’s VISOR, and phasers.
