Chris Pines For A-Team Role

1 min read

With his Star Trek XI work completed, Chris Pine hopes to be part of a movie adaptation of a childhood favorite show.

As reported by MTV, Pine has approached an old friend, Joe Carnahan, in hopes of playing H.M. “Howling Mad” Murdock. “We’ve talked about it,” said Pine. “I’d love to. Murdock is my man. I love Murdock.”Carnahan and Pike worked together before, with Carnahan giving Pine his big break in 2006’s Smokin’ Aces, where Pine played neo-Nazi hitman Darwin Tremor. “The [film] that I’ve had the most fun on was this movie called Smokin’ Aces that Joe Carnahan directed, the guy that did Narc and now he’s doing The A-Team,” said Pine. “I played a neo-Nazi redneck hitman, which is about the farthest thing from me you can get. It was the most fun I had, because it was such a character.”

The A-Team script is still in development. Pine hopes for the call when the script is ready. “We’ve talked about something happening,” he said. “I don’t think the script is quite done yet or something. But who knows?”
