New Star Trek XI Trailer

1 min read

A brand-new Star Trek XI trailer has been released today in the theater coupled with the movie Watchmen, and has also appeared online at the official Star Trek movie site.

As seen at Startrekmovie.com, the two-minute trailer is chock-full of action and includes previously seen footage plus plenty of new scenes, including information on James T. Kirk’s father.

Highlights of the trailer include: the revelation that James T. Kirk’s father was a starship captain for only twelve minutes, but in that short time, he saved eight hundred lives, including that of his son; the implosion of a planet courtesy of Nero’s weapon; the beginning of an attack on Vulcan; ominous words from Nero, who says that “James T. Kirk was a great man. That was another life,” and a scene where Kirk sits in the captain’s chair for the first time.
