1 min read

Designer-illustrator John Eaves has begun a new blog, where he shares his artwork and experiences working over the years on Star Trek as well as on other projects.

As seen at Eavesdropping with Johnny, fans of Eaves can see samples of various ships, and look forward to a “Starship of the day,” where a different starship, such as a recent entry featuring a small Cardassian fighter, is offered daily. The forty-six-year old Eaves has a long Star Trek resume, dating back to Star Trek V: The Final Frontier and continuing through present-day Star Trek as a conceptual illustrator for Star Trek XI. Eaves was a production illustrator for both Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and Star Trek: Enterprise, and he is currently working on Star Trek: Online as a design consultant.

In addition to Star Trek, Eaves has worked as a concept illustrator on Tropic Thunder, Valkyrie, Race to Witch Mountain as well as the forthcoming Virtuality and G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra.
