[Creation's Grand Slam VIII] [RanDoM Flight Cruise]

While the official STAR TREK site has already reported about every single actor who appeared onstage at Creation's Grand Slam convention, I've decided to focus on highlights from some selected actors instead. I don't think they'll be reporting on the RanDoM Flight Cruise though, so consider this as a scoop. [grin]

I've been doing STAR TREK conventions for almost ten years now, and have attended all but two of Creation's Grand Slam conventions thus far. Creation is the biggest convention organizer out there, and while they seem to attract the top names in talent, they have unfortunately had a tendency to treat both the fans and talent as commodities. If you ever attend a Creation convention knowing that fact and the way they operate, you're that much better off. Because even though they claim to have organized conventions since the 1970s, they still can't find a way of running the autograph lines to everyone's satisfaction.

Which is why it's tremendously refreshing, as a convention veteran, for me to have attended the RanDoM Flight Cruise. But more about that later...
